A wealth of cyber security expertise
Richard Winter brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to our cyber security proposition. His illustrious career includes a pivotal role at the Ministry of Defence (MoD), where he demonstrated exceptional skill in navigating the complex landscape of network and security operations, even during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
During his tenure at the MoD, Richard led with excellence, ensuring the security of sensitive data while orchestrating a seamless transition to remote work for his team. He spearheaded a vital laptop procurement program, equipping 200 cyber defenders with the tools they needed to protect national security.
Notably, Richard played a central role in driving innovation within the MoD, a testament to his forward-thinking approach. He was instrumental in crafting the MoD's first computer network defense security and led a dedicated study team to rewrite the MoD's cyber security strategy.
A new chapter at Bluecube
Upon joining Bluecube Technology Solutions, Richard Winter expressed his excitement about the new challenge ahead. "Effective cybersecurity requires a whole-of-society approach," he stated. "Bluecube is a new challenge for me, and I'm excited to help build a compelling cyber defense proposition for its small and medium-sized enterprise customers, a sector which has been historically underserved in the area."

In the near future, he will be launching Bluecube's first cybersecurity apprenticeship program, providing the training and opportunities necessary to cultivate our national skillset.
