We are pleased to inform everyone that Bluecube is now an Ekco company; this represents a huge investment into our capabilities. Ekco are one of Europe’s fastest-growing, security-first managed cloud services providers.
For all our clients, it will be business as usual. Their dedicated Client Engagement Manager, Service Delivery Teams and the Senior Leadership team (including James Hawker, Bluecube’s CEO) will all be continuing in the same roles that they are in today, the only difference now is that they will have additional support and access to a wider pool of technology experts to bolster Bluecube’s already formidable expertise.
“At Bluecube our 200+ stong team has built a reputation on providing client-centric services that address the ever-changing requirements of a diverse range of organisations. There is a close cultural fit between the two companies and we see multiple benefits from the deal for both our people and our clients alike.”
James Hawker, Bluecube CEO
Bluecube is Ekco’s largest ever acquisition, it’s third in the UK in the last year, and will add further strategic services to its UK offering. This transformative move has more than doubled the size of Ekco’s UK operations and positions them as a key player in the UK managed service provider (MSP) space.
The managed service space is a rapidly expanding part of the IT sector globally as organisations increasingly demand a known and trusted cyber security partner in the face of ever evolving and increasingly sophisticated threats. The IT security services industry is showing no signs of slowing down in the face of these threats.
Ekco has undergone rapid expansion across all of its major markets in Europe in recent years, fuelled by a mix of organic and M&A-led growth. The company has significantly increased its operations, growing from 80 people to more than 860 in four years.
Commenting on the Bluecube acquisition, Jonathan Crowe, co-founder and COO of Ekco, said:
“Organisations throughout the country lean heavily on their MSP to underpin their IT services with security, efficiencies and expertise. These are business critical functions and with this deal, we are able to expand our best-in-class services to both new and existing clients.
This deal forms a key part of our overall growth strategy, which is driven by a vision of unlocking the full potential of our clients through insightful and responsive solutions.
Adding Bluecube’s 200+ people with specialist skills, as well as their impressive list of customers, made this an easy decision for us. As soon as we met the Bluecube team, we knew it would be a great fit and significantly enhance our ability to better serve our customers.”
